Jacques Hurtubise

Born and raised in Montreal, Jacques Hurtubise began his artistic career in a big way, as he was only 21 years old when he had his first major exhibition at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. He was an abstract painter whose work was often recognised for its bright and colourful tones, due to his recurrent experimentation with a lot with fluorescent and neon colors earlier in his career. That being said, later in his career he went on to experiment with wide range of elements, and somewhat darker tones than in his youth.
